Pre-School
Our pre-school is accommodated in the BilinGO Primary School and the BilinGOlinos kindergarten.
School enrollment is a major step in the child’s development. The transition from kindergarten into school should therefore be prepared thoughtfully and smoothly. We work closely together with the BilinGO teachers who visit our pre-school twice a year in order to get to know the children and to learn about their stage of development. Due to the physical closeness and many common activities the kindergarten children already know the school teachers well. We prepare our pre-school children for school through age-appropriate promotion of their competences and development scopes. The program comprises basic mathematic knowledge (conceiving quantities, number pictures etc.) and phonological awareness (initial sounds, recognition of syllables and rhymes etc.) as well as the development of fine motor skills (holding a pen properly, cutting out etc.).
The pre-school program is part of the daily kindergarten routine and takes place daily from 09:15 – 11:30 hrs and in the afternoon from 13:30 – 14:15 hrs.
The pre-school room is especially equipped and furnished for children from 4 to 5 years. The traditional play corners in the kindergarten are changed into different areas where children can playfully develop their abilities and deepen the newly acquired contents
The different areas are:
- the number area
- the ABC area
- the construction area
- the reading area
- the sand tub
Our pre-school program aims at preparing the children socially, emotionally, cognitively and academically best possible for school.
